The driving force behind CompNet is the interdisciplinary collaboration of researchers from a multitude of different backgrounds. To further foster this mission, CompNet is always looking for interested parties to join the growing CompNet community. There are three different types of membership, depending on a person's background and interests.
Any Boston University faculty member whose research falls within the scope of CompNet activities, as well as any research staff member engaged in CompNet-relevant research who is eligible to serve as a PI on a Boston University grant or contract, can be nominated to become a Full Member of the Center.
All other researchers (postdoctoral associates, graduate students, undergraduates, and other trainees) working in the laboratories of full CompNet members or undertaking research in related areas at Boston University can be nominated to become Associate Members of CompNet.
Prominent scholars and researchers from academia and industry who interact regularly with Boston University CompNet members can be appointed as Adjunct Members of CompNet.
Self-nominations for membership in CompNet are strongly encouraged at all levels of membership.
