CompNet is dedicated to providing members with the resources necessary to advance discoveries in basic computational neuroscience research, to promote the broader impact of these discoveries, and to foster a strong social, academic, and scientific community. To assist these efforts, CompNet has created several programs to which members can apply.
CompNet Travel Awards are geared to help offset the cost of research-related travel to such events as conferences, workshops, summer schools, or other activities that enrich the participant's career, enhance the applicant’s training, and/or promote CompNet research to the external community.
The Outreach and Meeting Initiative provides an opportunity for CompNet members to submit their own ideas for events and workshops that will benefit the CompNet community and mission.
The Research Professor Discretionary Funding program is designed to make sure non-tenure track research faculty have a modest level of immediate funds available to help support their research productivity.
Along with specialized monetary support, CompNet also offers a range of physical space members need to accomplish their work, including: community Research Space, as needed Meeting Space, and private or shared Office Space.
